ANIMATION VIDEO CONFERENCING PROJECT BRIEF

(idea provided by Louise Sulway – Maendy Primary School, Torfaen)

The following video conference idea could be developed for any subject.  A few examples are:-

RE – biblical story

A significant historical event

A sporting event

Preparation prior to VC

1.        Each class will be provided with a chosen subject and then will develop an animation to match the subject.

2.       During the creation of the animation the process could be recorded to be used as part of the video conference and also to discuss the need for different roles within group activities.

3.       An extension activity would be to then take the animation – convert to AVI format and create a movie with title, credits and accompanying music in movie maker.

Video Conference Agenda – Suggested Activities

1. Initial introductions between the classes/schools.
2. Each class will present their completed animations/movies to the partner class.
3. An Oscars type ceremony could then take place whereby the animations/movies are given an Oscar according to a set criteria.
4. Closing comments and thank you.
