DRESS TEDDY PROJECT BRIEF

Brief

Video conference for year 1 pupils age 5.  Children consolidate their learning of the seasons by dressing a teddy in appropriate clothing for the chosen season and sharing it with a participating school.

Prior preparation

• Study the seasons (usually as part of the curriculum) so that children have a good knowledge base.
• Decide upon one or two seasons to represent during video conference.
• Children dress teddy in appropriate clothes for the season.
• Prepare simple presentation of info about the chosen season, in the form of pictures, poems, music etc.

Suggested activities

• Welcome and introduction between schools.
• School one introduce teddy whilst school two try to guess which season he is dressed for.
• School two introduce teddy whilst school one try to guess which season he is dressed for.
• School one reveals their season and present information in the form of song, pictures or poem.
• School two reveal their season and present information in the form of song, pictures or poem.
• More than one season per school is optional.
• Discussion questions and answers.  Good bye.
