GUESS.........? YES/NO GAME VIDEO CONFERENCING PROJECT BRIEF

(idea provided by Claire Herbert Abersychan Comprehensive, Torfaen)

Preparation prior to VC

  1. Each group/class will choose a famous person/place to investigate.
  2. Each group/class will prepare a brief cryptic description/image as a starting point for the partner group/class.

Resources

  1. Internet access
  2. cryptic description/image
  3. Digital camera/camcorder (optional)

Video Conference Agenda – Suggested Activities

  1. Initial introductions between the classes/schools.
  2. Each group/class will begin with their cryptic description/image of the person or place.
  3. The partner group/class will pose questions (max 10) to try and work out who or where the place is.  The questions must be formed in such a way that only a yes/no answer can be given.  For every question they do not use out of the 10 they will earn that number of points. e.g. if they guess correctly within 7 questions then they will earn 3 points for their team.
  4. If they fail to guess correctly within the 10 questions then they will lose 1 point from their overall score.
  5. This process is repeated for both classes several times according to the number of people/places researched.
  6. The winners will be determined by the number of points at the end of the game.
  7. Closing comments and thank you.

Resources

  1. Completed clues/information/resources prepared prior to VC.
