GUESS WHO? VIDEO CONFERENCING PROJECT BRIEF
(idea provided by Michelle Wilkshire     – Abersychan School, Torfaen)

Preparation prior to VC

1.       Each class will study the topic of  physical descriptions of people.

2.       Pupils will learn adjectives of colour/ size to describe someone.

3.       Pupils practice asking questions.

4.       Teachers ensure that each site has a copy of the guess who picture cards.

5.        Optional- discussion of cultural diversity.

3. Dictionaries.

Video Conference Agenda – Suggested Activities

1. Initial introductions between the classes/schools.
2. Each class will choose 1 picture card of a person. The teachers will know which card is chosen so each site has a different card(NB THEY MUST NOT REVEAL THE NAME OF THE PERSON).
3. Each class will ask 1 question at a time such as ‘is it a male’, ‘does she have long hair’ etc. ONLY YES OR NO ANSWERS MUST BE GIVEN.
4. The winning site is the site to guess the correct answer.
5. Optional- a discussion about the different cultures of the 2 sites.
6. Closing comments and thank you.
