HIDE AND SEEK VIDEO CONFERENCING PROJECT BRIEF

(idea provided by Lisa Bodenham – Woodlands Community Primary School, Torfaen)

Preparation prior to VC

1.        Each class will need to have done some work on directions and/or grid co-ordinates

2.       Each class will also need to have done some work on asking effective questions in order to find something

3.       The following will need to be created :- large scale grid reference floor, several hiding places large enough to conceal the child hiding.

Resources

  1. large space e.g. hall
  2. grid reference flooring and material to create hiding places

Video Conference Agenda – Suggested Activities

  1. Initial introductions between the classes/schools.
  2. Introduce each member who is going to hide
  3. OFF CAMERA – EACH OF THE MEMBERS THEN GOES TO THEIR RESPECTIVE HIDING PLACES.

4.       One person from the presenting school acts as the finder and can only follow the directions or grid co-ordinates given by the other class.

5.       The opposite class (via video conference) gives directions to the finder to find the hidden children (to make this harder they have to find them in a given order)

6.       Once all the children are found from the one school the other school repeats the process.

  1. Closing comments and thank you.

Resources

  1. large space e.g. hall
  2. grid reference flooring and hiding places
