MYSTERY QUEST - RIVERS - VIDEO CONFERENCING PROJECT BRIEF

Video Conference
Preparation prior to VC

1. Each class/group will investigate a river.
2. The following activities could be undertaken E.g.

a)     mapping skills – location of the river

b)     directions – how to get to the river from their school

c)     measurements – how far it is to the river from their school

d)        river study - research features of the river

    3. Clues to be created previous to the VC for the other school to guess.

3. Measuring equipment

Video Conference – Suggested activities

1. Initial introductions between the classes/schools.
2. Each class/group will present their clues for the other class/group to solve.
3. Time provided to research other groups clues.
4. Opportunity to ask up to three questions to the other group
5. Short time period to re evaluate guesses if needed.
6. Reveal of river that has been researched
7. Reveal of correct or incorrect answer.
8. Closing comments and thank you.
