EARLY AMERICAN SETTLERS V THE TUDORS VIDEO CONFERENCING PROJECT BRIEF

Preparation prior to VC

1.        Each school researches their own country’s history America – study Early American Settlers, Britain – study The Tudors

2.       Each school researches the opposite country’s history e.g. American school will research The Tudors and the British school will research Early American Settlers.

3.       Each school then uses the information learned about the other country’s history and creates various resources to present to the other school e.g. a quiz, a role play, an artefact game, story, animation etc

Resources

1.        Internet access

2.       Various resources according to the choice of how to present the information to the other school. E.g. Role play clothes, animation software, quiz, artefacts etc

3. Digital cameras/camcorders (optional)

Video Conference Agenda – Suggested Activities

1. Initial introductions between the classes/schools.

2.       Presentation by each school of their research about the historical period

3.       Q and A session 

4. Closing comments and thank you.
